Where did Fancy Dress Devil parties start? Probably back in the 18th Century with the masked balls but the Victorians who expanded the fancy dress party. A costume party (American origin) or a fancy dress party (British), mainly found in contemporary Western culture, is a type of party where guests dress up in a costume. There are many variations for a fancy dress party from retro fashion to Tarts & Vicars through to devil fancy dress. Spooky!
